Content: Not all leadership is direct - oftentimes we must lead those who are not under our authority. Leading through influence is a strategic practice and requires mindfulness. Discover how to use your own self-awareness to establish credibility, build a team of advocates, and collectively achieve your goals. We will discuss real life examples from corporate and volunteer work to highlight practices that will help you lead through influence when you don't have authority.

Chris's Bio: Chris has spent her corporate career in technology - managing change, digital transformation, organizational growth, and digital product development. She has a masters degree in organizational development and change leadership and uses that knowledge everyday. She is a champion of innovation and cross functional collaboration with a proven track of launching successful initiatives that drive customer satisfaction and company growth. Chris is also the Head of the How to Be Second (H2B2) Community. H2B2 is dedicated to supporting "Seconds," which refers to individuals holding positions such as Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief of Staff, and other "Second in Command" roles. Outside of work, Chris and her husband Ryan are raising 4 active children and lead the Hopkins Rugby Club, a non-profit organization introducing boys and girls of all ages to the sport of rugby.
